Explorer Program (Ages 10-13)

The Explorer program seeks to provide campers with the opportunity to learn and improve on basic outdoor skills and the fun and games of summer camp.

Daily activities include canoeing, fire building,  nature exploration, navigation,
adventure games, arts or science.

Skills

The Explorer day time programming centres itself around skill based learning. Campers will rotate through the three offered skills: Canoeing, Creation Station, and Survival. Throughout the week, campers develop these skills and receive a certificate on Fridays noting the levels they have achieved.

SWIMMING

Explorers have the opportunity to venture away from Laurel Creek and are able to enjoy swimming each week, at various indoor and outdoor pools around the region.

Trips

Each Thursday, Explorers hop onto the school buses and venture out into the community (or beyond) to enjoy very engaging field trips such as journeys to Playdium in Mississauga, or the African Lion Safari in Hamilton.
